Utah Tech University

Before You
Arrive

As you prepare to attend Trailblazer Orientation, here are some tips to ensure that you have a productive and enjoyable experience.

Family Members

Family members and guests have their own separate schedule at Trailblazer Orientation where they will meet other family members, hear from faculty and staff, and learn how they can best support their new Trailblazers. Family members are strongly encouraged to attend with their students, which is why one guest is included in the orientation fee. An additional guest fee of $20 will be charged for each additional guest.

Location

Utah Tech is located at 225 S University Avenue (700 E). Whether you are driving on I-15 heading north or south, take the St. George Boulevard exit (exit 8) and head west. Turn left on 700 E / University Ave and head south. Orientation kicks off outside the Cox Performing Arts Center. Once you’re on campus, there will be directional signs leading you to the Cox Performing Arts Center.

Getting Things Done

While on campus, we encourage you to also take care of any other details, including meeting with a financial aid representative, taking any needed placement tests, or checking out housing options.

Math Placement Testing Information

Parking at Orientation

You will need a parking pass to park on campus for orientation. Be sure to print the parking pass and place it in the driver’s side dashboard while parking on campus. You should park only in an open Student/General (white-painted) parking spot. This pass serves as permission to park and does not guarantee a spot. We recommend parking in Lots M or N.
